Trivium @ Fryshuset | concert

I had seen bands play at bars earlier this year, but last Saturday it was time for my first real concert of the year: Trivium!

I have seen Trivium play a couple of times before, but always on festivals and from a distance. This was the first time I actually went to a show of them to actually see them. To be honest, the band was harder than I remembered. Their songs included a lot of growls, which is not really my thing, but they were good anyway! And I actually knew some of their songs!

Trivium brought two support acts: Shvpes and Sikth. I quite enjoyed Shapes' performance, but Sikth was just really weird. Both bands did a good job in preparing the audience for Trivium though. Lots of walls of death, circle pits and arms in the air. And of course even more of all of this during Trivium's show! Great atmosphere. Can't wait for the upcoming concerts!

NEDERLANDS: Ik had dit jaar al enkele bands zien optreden in rock bars, maar afgelopen zaterdag was het eindelijk tijd voor mijn eerste echte concert van het jaar. En de eer ging naar Trivium!

Ik had Trivium al een paar keer eerder gezien op festivals, maar was nog nooit echt naar een show van hen geweest. 
De band was eerlijk gezegd harder dan ik me kon herinneren. Er zaten heel veel growls in hun nummers, wat niet zozeer mijn ding is, maar toch vond ik ze goed live. En ik kende zelfs enkele van hun nummers!

Trivium had twee support acts met zich meegebracht: Shvpes and Sikth. Shapes vond ik best goed, maar Sikth was gewoonweg vreemd en totaal niet mijn ding. Beide bands waren echter wel goed in het publiek opwarmen. 
Veel walls of death, circle pits en armen in de lucht. En nog meer van dat allemaal tijdens Trivium's show uiteraard. Goede sfeer! Ik kijk al uit naar de komende concerten!
